There have been reports of people going door to door selling alarm systems. They may try to replace your existing system by giving false information. Reputable alarm companies do not solicit door to door for business. If someone comes to your door wanting to inspect or sell you an alarm system, do not let them into your home. Call the police or sheriff’s department. If you would like to purchase a home alarm, contact the alarm company of your choice by phone and schedule an appointment. Attached is a notice from the Federal Trade Commission warning about door to door scams for alarms. Be safe, don’t let them into your home.
